The Swedish original is eerie, touching and broke new grounds in the sub-genre of vampire films, the film being much more than the usual gore and neck bite-fest vampire flicks usually are. The American one will make the snow-plough a fashion item, give Chloe Morritz a star-vehicle and pay off starving hardcore bands. Even the title change suggests that Hollywood wants YOU to chew your brains in the multiplex.
