The World Cup Hairdo Hall of Fame

"In his travels throughout Brazil in anticipation of the World Cup, Christoph Niemann, the magazine’s contributing illustrator, found soccer fever so intense that he couldn’t help seeing famous footballers — and their hair — wherever he looked."

Picture(s) Of The Day: Denis Richard

Denis Richard has a very useful ability any photographer would envy. A keen eye for detail that spots the extraordinary in what may seem a very regular scene. His photography of daily life and travels makes you feel like you were there as he is able to capture the essence of the moments he experiences. He always seems to have the ability to capture those split-second moments that bring out the little beauties in everyday life. I've been a fan for a while and am always keen to see where his travels lead him to next.

Denis Richard is currently based in Boston and like all of us here, calls Vienna his home.

Wiener Stiegenhäuser

Wiener Stiegenhäuser is an ongoing photographic project by Fabian Hummel covering an often overlooked, yet central component within the building as a design structure. Most architectural photography covers the facade of a building or the interior design of a room. This project however, focuses on the timeless design and beauty of the staircases and inner courtyards of Vienna’s buildings.

As a bicycle messenger, Fabian has access to various buildings across the city on a daily basis. He has captured the most breathtaking and idyllic ‘Stiegenhäuser’ that he has come across during his routes from building to building. Keep checking his tumblr for regular updates.

Philip Kwame Apagya

Philip Kwame Apagya is a Ghanian photographer that takes portraits of people in day to day situations against colourfully painted backdrops to set the scene. It is particularly these backdrops that are painted in such a banal/kitsch manner that make these portraits stand out.
