Daily Dope: Years

Austrian artist Bartholomäus Traubeck has created a record player that analyzes the rings in a slice of wood, then translates this data into musical notes and plays it. His own description doesn't go into too much detail, but it appears as if the notes are constrained so that they make melodical sense. This makes the whole thing slightly less exciting, but it's still a good watch. Reminds me of the beautifully desolate piano pieces by Arvo Pärt.
