Exit Through The Gift Shop

This is by far one of the weirdest and intriguing films I've seen to date, with a comically, amazingly, grandiosely stupid story, but the one thing it does extremely well is putting street art in the spotlight. Keep in mind that it is very possible Banksy has allowed himself certain amounts of, shall we say, artistic license in the compilation of this film, but I do not mean this in any negative way. In true Banksy fashion, these 90 minutes are filled to the brim, and even overflowing, with copious barrages of irony. Nonetheless, absolutely stunning scenes of street art in process, both in studios and on the streets. The film, and of course the legendary Mr. Brainwash, really flips around the age old question of 'What is art?' and the value of art, in a way that has never been done before. So for those of you who haven't seen 'Exit Through The Gift Shop', sit back and enjoy.
