Have You Heard of: Pretty Lights

ClashMusic DJ Mix Podcast - Pretty Lights Pretty Lights is a musical vision by a Colorado based producer Derek Vincent Smith who is accompanied by Adam Deitch. Named after the Pink Floyd concert poster in 1966 (“Come and watch the pretty lights...” read the text, sincerely advertising an “all night rave”) Pretty Lights music is full of chopped up samples,big synth riffs layered over a hiphop backbone. Next to Glitch Mob, Pretty Lights is one of my favorite glitch electronic/hip hop group. What makes them even more awesome is that all their stuff is free to download. In total they released 3 albums (Taking Up Your Precious Time, Filling Up The City Skies, and Passing By Behind Your Eyes) and 3 EPs in 2010 ( Making Up a Changing Mind, Spilling Over Every Side, Glowing in the Darkest Night).
