On the 17th of December, Viennese rap phenomenon Mirakle, who you probably all know by now through his mix-tape “The First Wonder” and his Weekly Wonder videos; and the talented newcomer Stewiwonda who just recently released his first Self-Titled EP featuring a mixture of post-dubstep and witch-house tunes, will be performing live together at the Aux Gazelles,Vienna. To make things even more exciting, Sofie, who did an amazing guest mix Summer's End, will be there as well, performing.

It's no secret that we here at Afromullets love hip-hop - but you can bet that we will also the first to agree that perhaps, at times, with it's bragadocious, misogynist, and sensationalist tendencies - it needs to chill-out a little. It's all about balance - which is why we were so excited when we learned that The Friendly Hip-Hop EP was in the works.

You're probably scratching your head at this point, reading this post with furrowed brows - so allow us to explain:

Imagine if some of hip-hop's biggest songs were re-constructed. The acapellas... the lyrics, are still the same. The beat however - is entirely different. Imagine being swirling your whiskey on the rocks in a jazz club, listening to Lil Jon's classic Get Crunk - or what if Coldplay teamed up with the creators of the original Legend of Zelda soundtrack to re-create a beat for this year's infamous Black and Yellow track? Afromullets' own STEWIWONDA has just released his debut EP, and we're excited to be the first to spread the word. It's an eclectic mix of the groovy and the weird, with traces of post-dubstep (and the myriad other post-genres we've been seeing a lot of recently), and a generous helping of witch house thrown in for good measure. STEWIWONDA samples such classics as The Beatles' Yellow Submarine, as well as Spice Girls' Wannabe (yes, that's right) and fuses them into a climactic cornucopia of noises, the likes of which have never before seen the light of day. Eviction Notice

Wax just dropped his 2nd mixtape since snatching up a deal with Def Jam, this ones titled Eviction Notice. Production on this mixtape is ill as fuck, and Wax is still drinking like he was getting paid to do it - a combination that has proved to be very successful for him in the past, and he continues this trend with Eviction Notice.

Although it does feature a few tracks with choruses that I can imagine being chanted at college dorm parties; Wax still manages to deliver non-stop killer lines, even when the general theme or mood of the track may be a little corny (Track 4, i'm looking at you.).

Bottom line: He's still a good writer, still infuses comedic-value into some of his tracks - but at the same time still addresses relevant issues while doing so; which separates him from a lot of more famous rappers out right now. DOWNLOAD IT!

Just like his "Ardour" album it does not dissapoint. From Teebs: “With this record I’m trying to imagine a side project or group of mine that just so happened to make the same exact music as I’m making now. These records are neither EPs or full albums. Just mini collections of ideas…I hope to release them randomly through my life as if they were paintings in a drawn out series. The vibe I want people to be sent off with is a feeling of going out and buying some kind of rare library record they always wanted and not a “new album/EP.” This will be the first ‘Collections’.”

Rapper named Milo recently dropped a set of tracks titled "I Wish My Brother Rob Was Here" (titled after the first Del the Funky Homosapien album). Its not your typical hip-hop and if I had to compare it to someone it would have to be Das Racist/Watsky. It's weird but dope at the same time. If you are into this new "post-modern" rap I suggest you give it a listen, he has a lot of personality,interesting,humoristic lyrics and awesome beat choices ( tracks produced by fLako, Shlohmo, Gold Panda, Flying Lotus...).
